Figure Skating

Advanced Basic Skills Camp

Time: 10:00a - 12:30p

Camp 1 - June 11 - June 14
Camp 2 - June 25 - June 2
Camp 3 - July 16 - July 19

Cost is $120 

This camp is for skaters that are in Basic 5 - Freeskate 3.

Off ice will begin at 10a.  On ice will be from 10:30a - 11:30a and another off ice session will be from 11:45a - 12:20p.

If you sign up for 2 camps, you get $40 off 2nd camp!

Champ Camp

Time: 10:30a - 12:30p

Champ 1 - June 18 - June 21
Champ 2 - July 9 - July 12
Champ 3 - July 23 - July 26

Cost is $60
(coaching fees extra $25 per day)

On ice is from 10:30a - 11:30a and off ice is from 11:45a - 12:45p

Freestyle Sessions

 Freestyle sessions is designed for competitive skaters to practice programs and have lessons with thier coaches and KCIC offers several of these times and days for skaters to use.  The cost of a one hour session is $15.00 per skater. Discounted punch cards are available at a reduced rate.  If you are interested in private lessons, please contact the Skating Director Kay Olive at for more details.

*** Attention Coaches****

If you are part of the KCIC Professional Staff, you don't have to pay professional fees when you teach on any of the scheduled KCIC freestyle and public sessions.

If you are not part of the KCIC Professional Staff, you will need to pay the professional fees to teach skaters on any of the scheduled KCIC freestyle or public sessions.

 Professional fee for freestyle:  $7 per hour of freestyle taught 
Professional fee for public:  $5 per public session taught
Professional fee per day:  $14 per day taught

 a monthly fee of $50 

Please pay the fees at the front counter, before entering onto the ice.  All instructors must provide a copy of your Liability Insurance Certificate to keep on file.

Off ice Choreography with Grant

KCIC is home to 2 of the most respected figure skating clubs in the United States, the Kansas City Figure Skating Club, and the Silver Blades Figure Skating Club. Both clubs skate 12 months a year, compete nationally in multiple events each year, have multiple skating sessions each week and offer elite level coaching for every skater, and include as members many of the area’s top young figure skaters. For more information on these outstanding skating clubs please click on their links below.
