Opossums handed a loss to Angry Beavers 6 - 1 at KCIC on Sunday. Opossums chalked up three straight goals to take the lead in the first period. As the second period unfolded, Opossums scored two goals to Angry Beavers's one and kept the lead. Angry Beavers's fate was sealed. In the final period Opossums scored one goal adding to their overall lead and winning the game.
Alan Berg, Richard Hawkins, Chris Fitzgerald, Jason Vanness, Robert Barnes, and Tony Masnado each added one goal for Opossums.
Racking up saves in the box, Opossums's Jeffrey Smith had 15 saves on 16 shots to earn the win. Angry Beavers's Troy Blank had just 20 saves on 26 shots to get the loss.
Angry Beavers went 0-for-4.
Opossums moves to a record of 11-13. Angry Beavers finished the game with a record of 14-9.
