Opossums Edges Cutters 4-3

Dan Erlandsen drills a goal, Opossums goes for offense to squeak by for the win

Doug Kapeller scored the game winner with 2:07 left in the third period, as Opossums handed a loss to Cutters 4 - 3 at KCIC on Sunday. Opossums chalked up three unanswered goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Cutters added two straight goals in the second period but failed to take the lead. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Opossums kept the lead for the win.

Dan Erlandsen, Doug Kapeller, and Tony Masnado each added one goal for Opossums.

Opossums's Troy Blank stopped 22 out of 25 shots to gain the win. Despite having a standout day, Cutters's Jeff Roland blocked 38 out of 42 shots on goal and got the loss.

Opossums ended their streak of two losing games and now has a record of 10-13. Cutters finished the game with a record of 9-14.
