Red Rockets beat BuzzKill 8 - 3 at KCIC on Sunday. Red Rockets racked up one unanswered goal to take the lead in the first period. In the middle period, Red Rockets outscored BuzzKill three to one and kept the lead. In the final period, Red Rockets scored four goals to BuzzKill's 2 and kept the lead to win the game.
Red Rockets's Doug French netted two goals for Red Rockets. Red Rockets's French put the biscuit into the net with 7:25 left in the third period with an assist from Gregory Hearl. Piercing though the defense, French netted another goal with 2:20 left in the third period with an assist from Tim French. Red Rockets's Eric Sicilano got two goals for Red Rockets. Making it happen on the ice for Red Rockets, Sicilano scored a power play goal without any assistance with 7:38 left in the first period. With 0:25 left to play in the second period Sicilano scored an unassisted goal.
Red Rockets's Bob Klem stopped 24 shots to take the win. BuzzKill's Matt Ross had just 25 saves on 33 shots and got the loss.
BuzzKill finished the game with a record of 8-13.
