Cutters Loses Close Game Against Angry Beavers 4-3

Bret Woodson is key with two goals, Angry Beavers relies on offense to win narrowly on the road

In a hard fought match up, Angry Beavers triumphed over Cutters 4 - 3 at KCIC Indoor on Monday. Cutters scored two goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. In the second period, Angry Beavers scored two goals to Cutters's one however Cutters kept its lead. Cutters was up three to two, but it wasn't to be. Angry Beavers managed to come back with two goals in the third period to steal the lead and win the game.

In well played offense, Bret Woodson got two goals for Angry Beavers and also two helpers. With 8:52 left to play in the second period Woodson put the biscuit into the net with an assist from Tim French. During the second period, with 1:04 left Woodson put the puck between the pipes with assists from Jonathan Clague and Eric Smith.

Angry Beavers's Troy Blank turned away 24 shots to get the win. Despite a super performance, Cutters's Jeff Bowers had 47 saves on 51 shots to suffer the loss.

Angry Beavers now has a record of 12 wins and 5 losses. Cutters ended the game with a record of 9 wins and 9 losses.
