Chicago Dogs Loses Close Game Against Les Dujoix 3-2

Michael Barkhurst shines with a goal as Les Dujoix scores go ahead goal in the first, goes on to get a narrow victory on the road

In a close game, Les Dujoix prevailed against Chicago Dogs 3 - 2 at KCIC Outdoor on Monday. Les Dujoix chalked up one goal to take the lead in the first period. Les Dujoix gained one goal in the second period and held on to its lead. In the final period Chicago Dogs outscored their opponents by one goal however Les Dujoix kept its lead, and won the game.

In the first period, Les Dujoix got things going when Robert Spratford put the biscuit over the goal line with assists from Paul Dennis and Joel Becker, with 8:27 left in the period. In the second period, in addition, Michael Barkhurst put the puck in the net with 8:56 left on the clock. Terry Brennan and Jason Allinder assisted on the goal, pulling further ahead. In the third period, Chicago Dogs put points on the board when Maneesh Jhunjhunwala scored a goal with an assist from Jason Rohlf, with 10:56 left on the clock. Les Dujoix made it happen on the ice when Paul Dennis scored a goal without any assistance, with 7:32 left in the period, moving further into the lead. Chicago Dogs's Jason Rohlf got the puck past goalie Jeff Jarchow with 6:40 left on the clock. Dave Swearingen and Jim Flanigan assisted on the goal.

Paul Dennis scored one goal for Les Dujoix and also had one point. Michael Barkhurst and Robert Spratford each added one goal for Les Dujoix. Brennan, Allinder, and Becker each tallied one assist for Les Dujoix.

Jason Rohlf scored one goal for Chicago Dogs and also had one assist. Maneesh Jhunjhunwala tallied one goal for Chicago Dogs.

Showing off a strong glove, Les Dujoix's Jeff Jarchow had 24 saves on 26 shots for the win, despite being outshot 26 to 20 by Chicago Dogs. Chicago Dogs's Steven Bell made 17 saves for the loss.

Chicago Dogs ended the game with a record of 10 wins and 5 losses.
