Cutters Falls To Chicago Dogs 9-4

Jason Rohlf slaps the hat trick and Chicago Dogs out shoots to achieve victory

Chicago Dogs overcame Cutters 9 - 4 at KCIC Indoors on Sunday. Chicago Dogs outscored Cutters four to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Chicago Dogs gained two goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Both teams scored three goals in the third period but Chicago Dogs kept the lead for the win.

Showing off a strong stick, Jason Rohlf earned the hat trick with three goals. During the first period, with 9:31 left Rohlf got a goal. Dave Swearingen and Chris Jones got the assists on this goal. Piercing though the defense, Rohlf got a second goal with 8:28 left in the first period. Dave Swearingen and Jeffrey Stephens assisted on this goal. Rolling on, Chicago Dogs's Rohlf scored a third goal with 6:44 left in the first period with an assist from Robert Popper. Leading the scoring for Chicago Dogs, Ryan Riley scored the hat trick with three goals. With 8:16 left to play in the second period Riley put the biscuit over the goal line with an assist from Chris Jones. During the third period, with 3:24 left Riley lit the lamp without assistance. With 0:34 left to play in the third period Riley got a third goal with an assist from Corey Slinker.

Chicago Dogs's Steven Bell finished with 22 saves for the win. Cutters's Jeff Bowers had only 32 saves on 41 shots on goal and got the loss.

Chicago Dogs added to their current win streak of two games and ended the game with a record of 10 wins and 4 losses. Cutters ended the game with a record of 7-7.
