Red Rockets Beaten By Angry Beavers 2-1

Jonathan Clague is key with a goal and Angry Beavers scores game winning goal in the third to get the win on the road

In a low scoring game, Angry Beavers beat Red Rockets 2 - 1 at KCIC Outrdoor on Sunday. Angry Beavers and Red Rockets both scored one goal to end the first period tied. Neither team scored in the second period so they continued to be tied. The second period closed with both teams at one goal all. Angry Beavers added one goal in the third period to break the tie and take the lead, grabbing a late victory.

In the first period, paving the way for Red Rockets, Bob Hauser scored an unassisted goal with 2:22 left on the clock. Angry Beavers put points on the board when Jonathan Clague scored a goal with an assist from James Slemp, with 0:49 left in the period, to make the game tied. In the third period, looking past the blue line, Angry Beavers's Gregory Cook put the biscuit over the goal line with an assist from Tim French with 0:01 left on the clock, assuming the lead for the win.

Jonathan Clague tallied one goal for Angry Beavers. Slemp contributed one assist for Angry Beavers.

Bob Hauser contributed one goal for Red Rockets.

Showing a super performance, Angry Beavers's Troy Blank blocked 17 out of 18 shots on goal to take the win, despite being outshot 18 to 16 by Red Rockets. Despite having a standout day, Red Rockets's Bob Klem stopped 15 shots to suffer the loss.

Red Rockets ended the game with a record of 2 wins and 10 losses.
